A.V. - Mantras y poesía sonora - selección a cargo de Felipe Cussen (2013)

Quisiera bucear más allá del valor y las funciones de los mantras en el marco de tradiciones religiosas y culturales determinadas, para llamar la atención sobre algunos elementos que permiten configurar una poética verbal y sonora que también hoy puede resultar elocuente. En efecto, es posible relacionar su carácter performativo, su estructura circular y su apelación a los receptores mediante la repetición, la duración y la reverberancia de sus palabras, con las prácticas de numerosos poetas de las últimas décadas.

I would like to dive beyond the value and functions of the mantras under certain cultural and religious traditions,to call attention to some elements that configure a poetic verbal and sound that today too can be eloquent. Indeed, it is possible to relate its performative character, its circular structure and its appeal to recipients through repetition, duration and the reverberation of his words, with the practices of many poets of the past decades.
